INCLUSION
Whitley Lodge is a fully inclusive school who ensures that all pupils achieve their potential personally, socially, emotionally, physically and educationally.
Our school vision reflects our commitment to promote an ethos of care and trust where every member of the school community feels that they truly belong and are valued. Since 2007, we have been awarded the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark and in 2016, we were certified as a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion. Since 2023, we have been recognised as an IQM Flagship School for Inclusion.
The SEND Information Report shows our implementation of the governing body’s policy for pupils with SEND, we publish the report on our school website and ensure it is updated annually or in a timely manner post any updated changes throughout the year. In addition, our SEND Information Report lets you understand how we support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
We consult with pupils and their families on our SEND Information Report by:
- Requesting feedback through parent questionnaire on an annual basis
- Using the school APP to sign post
- Asking our pupils to feedback through our school council
